Pro's practice socks

I noticed that all of the NHL players do not wear the usual hockey socks during training camp practices. They seem to be wearing some sort of sweatpant- does anyone know why? I've never seen this type of apparel offered at a pro-shop or online.

you can get sweatpants at Modells or sports authority.

I know lots of guys who have never worn hockey socks- they just wear sweats.

2 or 3 guys on my league team alone wear sweatpants. I might give it a try.. looks comfy.

That, and from the pictures of various camps ive seen, i had only seen plain old socks, just solid colored.

SC37- I'm not at all "obsessed" with everything the pro's wear. Still- I find it peculiar that all of the pro's wear a different version of socks when it comes to practices, and wanted to inquire if there was a specific reason. I realize pro's don't wear game jerseys for the morning skate; it likely would impede the significance of the sweater.

Has it never occurred to you that they might just be mesh socks? I mean our pro team's got them and it's no biggy. Look (white):

those look like normal solid colored socks to me

you cant tell anything from a far away shot. and i thought you said it was the Caps that were wearing them...

I've been to the caps practices and have about 60 pics up in the nhl side here.

From what I could tell, they were solid coloured socks

This year and last
