Everyone has Toronto, Atlanta, NJ, MTL, FLA, TB rotating from 7-12. No consensus pick in there and it's likely that anyone of those teams can finish anywhere in the 7-12 spot.

Caps are going to finish 7th in the East

Montreal are going to represent the east in the finals. If Huet/Abeshier (sp) can hold the team in games, I think they will suprise a lot of people

Really? Every prediction I've seen has the 7-12 rotation. Is MTL ahead of Ottawa or Buffalo? ESPN must have alot of confidence in Huet.

I'm not seeing any hardons. I believe the flyers were picked 4th and 6th in the thread. And sadly Theo is right, its kinda funny in sick way (like watching a person with a broken arm carry a tray of food then spill it).

Okay...I'm a Habs fan and 4th is way high....I've got them no better than 6th, and even that will take a great year from Huet, and everyone healthy.

What the hell does ESPN know about hockey anyways???

You think Buffalo is the run-away favourites in the east? There's a good chance Philly wins their division which automatically slides them in ahead of the #2 in the NE, which many believe will be Buff. How Florida is in there baffles me.

why does everyone rate Calgary so highly?

Because they have arguably the best goaltender in the league, arguably the best defense and a decent first line.

They're just one of those teams that aren't going to wow anyone during the regular season but you don't want to end up playing in the playoffs.

how did philly get so much better over the summer? their defense is still slow and sucky, goalie is ok at best, and aside from one line, your forwards still suck too.

They're my breakout pick for this year. All there young guys are set to have big seasons (Horton and Bouwmeester) and they have a good set of veterans (Roberts, Gelinas, Niewendyk), plus they have some guys who are already in there prime (Bertuzzi and Jokinen).

Better? You know they were tied for 3rd place last season right, but lost out on Wins. NJ isn't any better either, which is who they tied. Most of the upper tier teams didn't improve over the summer.

i know im a flyers fan, but still it amazes how many people talk about like they havent made the playoffs for the last ten years or so. whether you like em or not, you cant deny the fact that they have been a competitive team in the league over the last few years and still are.
