Most uncomfortable night of my life

this chick i have been talking to is the ex girlfriend of one of my hockey teammates. They have been broken up for a year and a half. I called the guy the other day to make sure it was cool with him that i start hanging out with her. He said it was ok, so i figured it was alright. The catch is, that he lives with her and her dad and brother.

so last night I go over there, thinking that its all cool, and that he knows im coming over. When I get there, he doesnt know im coming over, and when he sees me, he is obviously not happy.

so me and her are in her room, which is right across the hallway, and seriously every half hour he keeps coming in, saying some random shit, and leaving the door open as he walks out. after the 3rd or 4th time, im just like wtf, leave it open, who cares?

so after like an hour of him not popping in her and i start to make out and shit. So this girl is on top of me, and i have my hands up the back of her shirt, and guess who pops in? lol, he just looks at us with this look of anger and dispair on his face, and i just go "Oh hey whats up guy!?" I couldnt think of anything else to say right, so i say the most asinine thing ever.

So anyway, he storms back to his room, and she goes after him to find out whats up, and im left in the room on my own for like 10 minutes, feeling totally awkward.

After about 10 mins, i hear her say, "rob you have no where else to go" which just makes the situation even worse. Turns out he has all his clothes and shit, and is ready to move out that second. He wants to quit the hockey team and all this shit, and then I hear her dad say, "I think your friend needs to leave, NOW!"

Which i was obviously pretty happy to hear, it was the best way to get out of the situation. I guess they were having a meeting between the dad, the girl, and the ex bf. God only knows how that went, im still waiting on an update.

When i hear what the fuck went down, it will be told to the world...

That's absolutely brutal. See, even if a guy says it's okay to date an ex it never is. Sure they may be keen to the idea and want to be the good guy, but when it hits them in the face (and in his situation it's infinitely worse) they realise that it still affects them.

Only thing I can think of doing is obviously avoiding going to her place other than to pick her up/drop her off. The situation at their house is a cockblock with a side of guilt and buzzkill, all you can eat.

Because if she led you to believe her ex was aware that you were coming over, she is using you in a little game of emotional chess, and that is a doubly bad situation.
