Innovative Blade question

Recommended Posts

Im talking about this Innovative blade: http://img69.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pict03164ci.jpg

I got this blade for a few bucks so i just bought it. Even if its crap i can sell it to a friend. Well, whatever, can someone tell me the actual name (in case i want to buy another one) and some words about durability, feel (im using a Z-Bubble at the moment) and various informations?

I would test it myself on the ice but at the moment i got a nasty flu so i hope you an help me out.

Looks to be a retail blade which have good feel and durability. What is the name on the blade? I find these blades some of the best.

These are great blades. What is the curve on it? Is it a tapered or reg hosel.

discription below.

The tapered tenon fits Innovative tapered shafts to provide the look and performance of a 1-piece fused stick

155 gram weight construction

Resin Transfer Molded (RTM)

Aluminum molds ensure optimal injection pressure and resin flow to provide maximum blade durability

CNC foam core provides precision construction

I Beam design provides optimal blade stiffness

Fiberglass cord reinforcement on leading edge for enhanced wear resistance

It's a regular innovative blade. Depending on the legnth of the tenon it's tapered or standard. They're very good blades. Now the blades warrior makes are a bit similar I think, but that could be totally off.

It fits into my Z-Bubble without problems so i assume its standard. Its a Kovalev (Drury) Curve and the feel with a smarthockey-ball in my room is quite good.

I munched some pills and i hope i will feel better tomorrow.

usually that is one sign... but it's the width and depth(front to back) of the tenon that determines whether it fits tapered or standard shafts..

Agreed, with Inno the length of the tenon is irrelevant. I have standard and tapered of the same pattern with the same length tenons. Also, the tenon varies in length between patterns.

I use to own a whole bunch of these plays. Excellent feel, best I've found in any blade. The durability is pretty good too, much better than easton blades IMO. However, I do notice persistent chipping along the top and the top of the blade. Nonetheless, it's an excellent blade. Also, I'm currently using a warrior blade as well. Very similar, if not the same. Only difference I find is durablity, it has seem to hold up longer, so far no chipping.

Some friend you are...

actually I'd probably do the same thing lol.

The blades on my Vapor XX and XXX are tanks, I believe the XX blade is basically the same as what you've got there. My dolomite blade has been stepped on at least 2 or 3 times, and it's still stiff as ever, just a couple of scuffs on it. I'm so happy with my vapors and dolomite that I kind of want to get some of the old inno branded stuff.
