New Gear

So I think its fair to say that a lot of people buy their new gear for the upcoming season in the summer. Since its summer, thought we'd see what you guys are all getting. Me personally-

• Pants- undecided what brand
  
• Gloves- don't need but I'd love a new pair, either some GI CP94s or HGTs
  
• Helmet-Probably get another Nike 0004, but I might have to try on an 8000
  
• Sticks- maybe another XN10, L2, not too sure, this ones always the hardest to decide

Good call on the XX. I wouldn't mind giving one a shot if I could get it for cheap. And I missed out on the product I've been looking forward to the most, the Hespeler Alpha Nemesis. I can't wait to pick one up.

I acutuacll beleive in buying right b4 the season starts, that way all the gear from 2003 will drop as the year progresses and if somehting new comes out just b4 the season starts and i really wanted it then i wont be kicking myself for buying too early. I like to wait till the last minute so the prices will be lower and the new gear will be out.

I am happy wiht my gloves but given the chance to get a new pair I would like something with lots of ventalation and real lether palms thats all I want in a glove not sure what retail glove has that kind of stuff.

For stick I am not the kind to go out and spend over a 100 dollars on something but I am defitnitly looking towards an 80 typhoon or TPS Rubber in intermediate or whip flex.

Pants- I just got a shell for my tacklas, and a team I play for gave me pants for them.

Gloves- Baught some custom eagles.

Helmet- I might buy a bauer 5000, after my team gave me one to use for the season with them.

Stick-I baught a stealth, and I think I'm gonna get a xn10.

Skates-graf custom G3's.

Just bought a Bauer Vapor XV shaft and blade combo...liking it so far.

Gotta get some new Elbow Pads...which is going to be a pain. I have such small ones now and I need a bit more protection, but I don't want gigantic bulky ones.

Pants - My team supplies CCM pants.

Gloves - I got Vapor XX's but my team supplies Eagles or CCMs.

Sticks- I just ordered 2 Inno 1100 shafts.

Skates - Graf G-9s by the end of the month.

Elbow Pads - New Jofas maybe.

Shin Pads - New Jofas maybe.

skates- already got my 709 SEs (black t`blades) (AND all for $200 :D )

shin pads- not too sure but i liked the easton ULs, we'll have to see once i try some more on.

sticks- didnt use my warranty Si-Core last year on purpose, so i still have that one fresh for this year. and ill be getting the stealth when it comes out.

Golves- though i wont be getting NEW ones, i have no choice and have to wear the team gloves. CCm... somethings. i for get.

Gloves: Need a new pair, as I only have one. I`m gonna do in with my little brothers team order of Eagle X80`s in nylon with goatskin palms, black, white and a little red which I will have to black out with a sharpie.

Skates: Set for next year, and maybe the year after.

Helmet: I`m good

Sticks: Definatley going to buy another Innovative, Response Plus, Redlight XN10 with PTC Blade....haven`t bought a stick since Christmas....maybe longer!

Well I do the roller hockey thing year-round so I technically don't have a season. And I don't need one thing.....But there's always something on the "want" list:

...part of me wants to try either the Koho 4490 OPS or shaft/blade combo.

I also wouldn't mind stocking up on some Inno blades if they are slowing production on them.

I'd like to get some Tuuks on my 705's once I get back to playing ice this summer. Interested in trying out an 8000 helmet sicne the padding keeps coming out of both my 5000's and I'd absolutely love to get my hand on at least one more XN10 (P31, R flex, RT hand in case anybody can locate one ;) ). Outside of that, I can't think of anything else really. I'm pretty satisfied with all my gear.

I want to try the L-2 shaft. If Mission had made the Carter pattern I would try the L-2 combo instead.

I'll be needing a comp. Drury Synthesis blade or two. And if a LHS still has some of those '02 Mission tapered wood blades in the Dallas pattern (a shorter, higher lie Modano with rockered toe from the ones I've seen), I'd pick up a few since they're fairly cheap at $15 cdn and decent quality.

New pants would be nice, but they'd have to be very light weight. I'm finding my Bauer 3000 pants to be on the bulky side and a little heavy at times for pickup games.

I'm also thinking gloves, again: '04 M-1 Pro or M-2 depending if and when one of the LHS gets any in. The XVs dont seem to be for me, palms are too thin for my liking.

Otherwise I'm good on everything else for another season or so.
