Laraque handles the Boogyman last night

Recommended Posts

Also, 2 assists and the first star of the game for Laraque.

From what I saw in the highlights, his skating has improved.

Yeah, for some reason he looked like he had hands too, the Yokes are a slower team to so I guess the practices have more skating drills in them... the new NHL demands improuvement... Chris Neil has done the same

 Look at Boogaard's knee!!

Boogaard didn't play the rest of the game, either. They said he was out with an undisclosed injury that happened during the fight. No word yet as to what the injury was.

Saw the clip on TSN, looked like his knee get bent awkwardly.

Boogaard has really been tearing guy's up this season, was the strongest enforcer in the league IMO, before tonights incident.

Laraque is the biggest overachiever in the show, and I mean that in a very positive way.

i watched that game and the announcers were wondering at what point in the game they were going to fight - i think everyone was expecting it

i saw the replays of it and im pretty sure boogard either messed up his knee or ankle because his leg got trapped underneath him when laraque fell on him

i think laraque won the fight because he has better balance - boogard barely even got to throw a punch because he was too busy trying not to fall down

i never realized how big boogard was 6'7 and 270lbs? thats up there with chara who is 6'9 and 260lbs

Not a very good fight, I Dont think anyone really landed a punch. I think laraque knows to hold on to boogaard after seeing what happened to everyone else who dicided to trade shots.

Boogaard is awesome and all...but have Brashear and Laraque ever fought? Thats a fight I want to see....thats the two baddest fighters in the league.

Brashear sucks and for a while he was the worst player in the league. I don't know if he still is because I haven't heard his name mentioned, let alone seen him on the ice this year.

I saw him when the Caps came to Vancouver, and well he didnt look good, there were times when I thought that he would be able to hit the net with a shot, and then I would watch him blunder up completely missing the net by a good 10 feet. I also watched him during warmup and its not like he has horrible hands (yes, I know he is quite far from being a stickhandler like Zherdev etc.) but he just can't do anything during gametime except fight... and to make things worse the crowd was really givin' it to him too ;)

Boogaard could deffnetly take Brashear, Laraque is a tougher fight for him.

What's your proof? Brashaer took it too Domi in that fight, Domi knocked him down, but not from a punch and Brashaer definately set the tempo of the fight.

I know Laraque is a tougher fight for him. Laraque is a leftie. Last season though nhl.com had an article on fighters in the league and it had a quote from laraque on brashear saying something along the lines of "brashear is king, you have to beat him if you want to be king". Both of them are lefties...is there a phoenix vs. washington game this year?
