You can see there supported from the back

have you played on this rink oster?

if not, i wasnt asking you. i see that they are supported, but i dont think the supports look like much. they seem like simple 2 by 4's in a A shape.

so anyway, michael have you ever had any problems with the boards? does the weather cause lots of wear and tear?

The boards have always been very sturdy, the wind doesn't move them much at all. and we can hit without anything happening to the boards. This is what kepts them sturdy. see the red circles i made, there piece of wood about a foot deep in the ground, those pieces of wood are then drilled together with the "A" shapped structure piece. we have never had any problems with the boards so far and in no problems either in past years.

Even "Up North" doesn't guarantee Outdoor rink weather...there was a time where Southern Ontario had weather that could have a nice rink from mid Dec to almost Feb.

We're well above freezing right now...with no sign of "cold" weather in sight.

It hasn't been above freezing for the last two days here in Eugene. The world is a sick place.

Wanna trade homes for a couple days?

i do love cold weather...

Ok But i warn you we don't have all the amenities that you Americans have.

Such as indoor plumbing, indoor heating, or lighting

But an internet connection? At least your priorities are in line

Yes I got a guy to come up all the way up from Georgia to string a telephone line and a cable line and 1 outlet line.

He has to string about 1500 miles of cord, cost me a mighty penny

Geez...

I want, I want :(

For the perfect surface we used to use a squeegee thing that had a clamp on it to squeeze water out of (the name escapes me) then we'd keep dipping it in warm water and after maybe 10-15 minutes it'd be perfect, it's easier becuase it only puts on a thin layer so it freezes quicker and you can focus on specific areas and rub out lumps.

Kinda like this but with a squeezer thing
