The Sabres practice here in Amherst (among the richest cities WNY and one of the safest cities in the nation - despite the "Bike-path Rapist/Serial Killer" that was recently featured on 'America's Most Wanted') and play their games in downtown Buffalo.

i ended up getting skating lessons from ken holland once...didn't know until i got off the ice and my dad told me, i just thought he was some crazy guy that couldn't skate very well chasing me around the circles

I used to work at the rink where the Stars practiced at, and I was riveting some skates or something like that. Anyways, I price is right was on and I was listening to it because I couldnt see it, then, I said something to my co-worker about it, and this guy said something back to me. We exchange ideas on the price is right for about 10 minutes and I finish up (keeping my head in my work the whole time). After Im done my coworker ask's me to check and see if we have a Turco jersey, I calmly tell him "why, that guy sucks" (which he was slumping at the time...). I check and then walk out of the store to get some water, walking back in who could it be, but Turco himself walking out as I walk in. I didnt work for 2 weeks after that.....I felt like such a jackass too.
