Need a new bag

Recommended Posts

My 4 year old Sherwood bag has had it. The main zipper is shot and the end pockets are close to the same. Any info on good non wheeled bags that are available out there. I fully intend to shop my LHS for one based upon the replies. I searched and most of the discussion was about bags that are no longer available(Vapor 8, 1152, etc...). Looking for a good duffel type w/shoulder strap.

i don't have one, but those vented top Itech bags seem like a good idea to me. I am not sure if they have shoulder straps or not though.

The fury bag from eastwesthockey.com

It's HUGE, extremely thick and strong material. Best bag I've ever seen, let alone owned.

I totally agree. After nearly 6 months, still don't have a cut on it, only a broken grommet. In addition to JR, Jason has some of the best employees you will ever deal with.

I didnt get the East West Hockey one but I got a fury bag and it ripped right on the seam after 3 months its rediclious I want to send it back but I dont know who to contact and I dont have time I would stay away from fury bags though I know one bad experience doesnt mean to stay away but the bag did not rip on the material, it came apart at the seam which is rediclious for a bag that is supposed to be heavy duty.

The Eagle bag will also be a solid choice.

I have their "Pro player bag" and love it, but it didn't come with a shoulder strap, and I don't think their other ones do either. However, it would be easy to put one on as it has metal rings at each end.

I recently replaced my wheel bag which was great for dragging through airports but not so great on the walls in my house and took up a lot of space in the car and dressing room. I now have the CCM Pro Tacks bag which, I believe, is similar to the Eagle pro player bag. The zipper is very durable, there are inside pockets for your skates and it is fairly compact so it fits in the car nicely and doesn't scratch the hell out of your walls when bringing it in the house.

That's a shock top me. We ordered a bunch for the local club team and they were holding up really well. Not a single problem while I was still with the shop. The ones we had were top quality bags.
