Sande MaxPro

Recommended Posts

I saw these gloves the other day and they really caught my eye. Protection everywhere and I am really loving the trigger finger palm. Is there anything that I listed in the description that anyone has to say about them?

I like my pair. They are the nylon ones with two trigger fingers on each glove. They are a little tighter fitting than older Sande models. I like the palms. They are grippy, but thinner than the leather ones on Muskoka 970's. I've had older models of Sande gloves that I've also liked, but these are my favorite Sande model so far.

I am very intrested in these gloves, I now have rbk's prostock nylons 15' they fit like a nbh 4roll, I want a glove with a wide open cuff and tighter fingers and palms, does the trigger material last and would anyone reccomend these gloves. Any thought would be appreciated.

I was never a huge fan of the trigger finger but I really like the Max pros. Protection is fantastic and is more than you will ever need.

I really didn't care for the trigger finger, Mine were a 14 and they were fairly tight through the palm but had finger lengths comparible to a 15" 4roll like NB,Great protection on par with the 4 roll, Good price They are very comparible to a 4roll in all aspects except That a 14" sande fit more like a 15 in nbh 4 roll with tighter palms

I also got a pair of MaxPROS and Heatseekers from Gary at Sande just last week or so.

I'm really liking the MaxPro series - very light, much like Eagle. The Trigger finger feature is nice, but overall isn't the selling point to me. I really enjoy the palm and the feel of the gloves. They don't feel bulky or anything.

The Heatseekers are not nylon, and fit a bit tighter then the same 13' in the MaxPro gloves. Overall though, i think both are nice gloves, and i'd be buying Sande again in the future.

Fantasitic gloves protection wise and I love the trigger finger concept too, though I personally would like less play between the finger pad and palm. I got the tips of my fingers smashed a few times because the gap was too big and the padding shifted.

How do these gloves fit? Alyourpal what do you have to say about yours?

They fit very loose. Almost the loosest of the gloves I've tried (Bauer Vapors, TPS R8, Easton, Mission HE10000 and Fuel 130 Pro).

Picked up a cuple of pairs of them from Gary couple of weeks ago. Been on the ice a couple of times with them.. I got some pro-returns fomr him, size 14.5. Much bigger than my usual size, but turned out not an issue at all. For the first time in a long time, these gloves make me feel as if I am not wearing gloves, i.e., not noticing them.

Love the two trigger-fingers on each hand. The palms work very well with the grip on my S17 or Sickick. I feel I get much better feel of the puck and my shots are better through the interphase.

Protection is awesome. Nice snug fit at the hands and fingers, but loose around the wrists, no mobility issues whatsoever even these are longer than I am used to. I thought I was in love with Eagles, but I know I LOVE the MaxPro's. Way to go Gary!

Gary is in Mission, BC. I am in Vancouver, I was fortunate to meet him at a local rink when his son was playing a tournament there, so I just brought him some cash as he brought me out the gloves. Contact Gary directly at gary.sande@sandehockey.com. He will look after you.

nearly all thumbs on hockey gloves have a seperate pocket for your thumb, to allow some form of mobility. The big thing here is that the middle and index fingers have the extra pocket. So yes, im sure the warrior gloves have this feature on the thumb...but so do a bunch of gloves, nothing special there.

Bumping this topic, Im looking at a pair of 13" and I usually wear 13-13.5". Will these fit? Ive heard they are bigger than most gloves. Is that finger length or cuff length?

I'm currently using Pro Stock Eagles that I'm 99% sure are 14s. I picked up some 14" MaxPro's for backups a little while back and they line up almost exactly from finger to wrist.

The difference is that the MaxPro's have an extra slash guard on the cuff so the feel longer. The trigger fingers feel nice and they run tight. Keep that in mind.

Can you compare them to another glove? Are they as tight as a One90?

NO, they're not as tight as the Supreme series. However, they're similar to the fits of some Eagle models. Think somewhat tight, not really snug.
