Lacquer question

Can lacquer be used on plastics? I want to get a "glossy" finish. How do I polish the lacquer? Do I use a cloth or what? Sorry, im new to this whole painting thing

I think you can. Don't quote me on it, but I remember using it on models when I was a kid. Make sure you have a good base coat down first.

multiple thin coats are always better than one heavy thick one. Take your time and the results will be worth it. Make sure the surface is properly prepped as well. Lightly sand between coats with fine grit sandpaper or steel wool.
