Montreal/TPS Woodies

Recommended Posts

What do you guys think of Montreal Woodies? How about TPS woodies? Are they light and durable (Woody wise). Im looking for a stiffer wood blade, do they offer one? For reference, Im talking about the sticks, not the blades

Also, does anyone know where to download the montreal catalogue or at least the wood section. The damn thing when missing where I work :(

Thanks

That maybe? Idk many who use Montreal woodies. I know one guy back in high school who swore by them. I've only picked one up ever, felt pretty light...arn't readily available so hard to experience it. If they make woodies like they do composites, wouldn't be bad. But on the other hand, all the guys in the league I play who still use wood, majority have TPS. Idk if it's cause the LHS here stocks a lot of them, but there are quite a few at the rink every time. I see lot of the pink ones, and lot of the blue ones and lots of Nash curves. I tried one in warmup, and it was very light as compared to the Sherwood I have.

I'm going to piggyback an inquiry here because it's montreal related.

I looked up their distributor listing on their website, and they only have one listed in connecticut.

I'm assuming that they act as a distributor and send out to other retailers in the states.

I am looking for a retailer, so I can try them on/order. Anyone know how to find a local retailer as opposed to a nationwide distributor?

Cheers

Any US shop that sells Tackla, also has a Montreal.

Now, when I go to www.tacklahockey.com they don't have a list of retailers, however under the contact us tab, the e-mail address is listed @vaughnhockey.com

When I go to vaughnhockey.com and click on dealers, my LHS is listed, should it stand that they should have the line of montreal/tackla also?

Vaughn is the Canadian distributor for Tackla in addition to their own products, unless they recently purchased the US distribution rights. You don't know if any of your local shops sell Tackla? Calling your local shops is probably going to be the fastest way.

Montreal/Tackla is distributed by Montreal Hockey Co. out of CT. Like Chadd said, they usually go hand in hand so calling your shops is your best bet since Montreal Hockey Co.'s site is down last time I checked.

Montreal wood sticks are great-esp if you like their patterns. I also loved that z-carbon 110 easton wood that was a montreal shaft fused to a hybrid paddle. It got off bombs till it gave up the ghost.
