Itech Cages on Bauer Helmets

Do you guys use the same size cage as the helmet or no for itech? How do you tell if the cage is too small? If your chin is sticking out of the bottom?

i use the same size for helmet and cage. its all about your preference though, ive found that if the cage is too small its either uncomfortable so you cannot move your chin and its hard to open your mouth, or the cage may just be too narrow for your helmet so you would have to bend it to make it fit on and get all the way to the clips.

It's not about preference, it's about what size provides the proper fit for your face. I'd say less than half of the players that I've fitted actually used the same size helmet and cage.

I would agree with Chadd and thats why we dont purchase combos ever. Always put what fits cage wise onto what fits helmet wise.

I did free swaps. The savings of the combo versus buying each piece was pretty significant.

My Bauer helmet is a large and my itech cage is medium.

Just don't be that goof wearing an adult helmet, a child's cage, and your mouth is covered by the chincup like you're flying a fighter jet. Gay.

I have question..If I bouth a Bauer 4500 medium and it came with the

true-vision medium cage..the cage does feel a bit small. Should it be a large cage or not? Maybe it's just me..

Sounds like yes. I wear a Medium hlemet and a large cage. If you aren't sure you may want to bring your set up to your local LHS and be fitted.

I use a Bauer 5000 in Large and used my Medium Bauer Cage and that fit me well, earlier this year I got a Large 8500 cage and it is definitely too big for me.
