The outside of the pad is different and interesting. Pete has also changed the thigh board setup. I wonder why that is?

The thigh board set up was changed to allow the pads to overlap at the top accomodating large thigh rises(ala:Lunqvist). By having a centred mounting point the pads dont hang up on the thigh board straps.

The pictures come from the Goalie Store Bulletin Board. The pads belong to one of the users there.
