z-buble grip breaking

Recommended Posts

I have had 4 z-bubble grips in the last 2 months. They have all broke at wear the taper ends and it gets bigger so u can fit a standard blade in. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've been using easton z-carbons. Could it be because i got intemediates an i cut them really short and all the pressure is concentrated on that spot when i shoot. I am about 5'7 and weigh 125. I cut the shaft aroung 4-5 inches.

Honestly, I laugh whenever I see someone who weighs over 150 getting an 85 Bubble or Z-Grip; seen so many break on slappers at that exact spot, they just dont get it. To add insult to injury, I thought the damn shaft had the worst feel since I used an aluminum shaft with an ABS blade; the taper-flare point screws me all up...

I go 240 and I use an 85 Z-Bubble, but it's one of the original Bubbles ('97 model with a smaller taper) and I've never been tough on sticks...

i weigh 190. and i got some specialty ones that are like 80 flex. for a bargain of about 50 each last year at the flames year end equipment sale. i have about 4 of them, and have never broken one. they are so durable, i couldnt belive how many times i got slashed and looked down and see it in tact.
