Ovechkin will participate in the "Fastest Skater," "In the Zone" and "Breakaway Relay" events in the SuperSkills competition, which follows the YoungStars Game.

He also managed to maintain a sense of humor about starting Wednesday's game on a line with Briere, a player with whom he's exchanged questionable hits this season. We'll "just fight in the locker room," he said with a smile. "No, we just shake hands, see how is everything. Everything is okay. It was just two moments, me and him. So I think everybody forget." He paused and added, "But not you," as he smiled at his questioner, a reporter from the Buffalo News. . .

Ovechkin had a good sense of humor in the interview last night. His English could be better, but he was honest and didn't give all the same cliche answers. I loved his comment about Briere and 'fight in the dressing room'. He got a laugh from the audience with his little comment to the Buffalo reporter, too.

Ovechkin shoved Briere from behind, and he went face first into the door at the Buffalo bench...then a couple weeks later, in the next Wash-Buf game, Briere speared Ovy in the junk.

actually ovechkin patted briere on the head along with all the other players when briere got the mvp/truck keys at the end of the game

ya i was talking about why they were being talked about like they were enemies. i guess i know why now. i prefer my junk not to be speared and my face not to meet boards with hig velocity.
