Allsmokenopancake 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I thought my Size 8E Tacks fit me...until I got fitted for my new Vector 6.0's...size 7DKicked all the way back my toes don't touch, but when I flex forward (walking/skating) they brush every so slightly. That sounds almost identical to me. I was in size 11.5 tacks, because they are such a shallow boot, needed the larger one to fit me, I didn't know any better, because when I bought the skates, it was literally 15 minutes before the start of a beginners skating lesson. They were 252's, they guy put me in them, said they were popular and that the pain would go away when broken in. It never did.Fast forward to a few months ago, I get fitted at my new LHS, and I now wear size 10 Bauer, because they fit deeper, so size wise was way off on the tacks

mreeves 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 12.5-13 shoe. 10.5 CCM- toes touching. 11 Graf- perfect fit- no touch, no slop. I've found the 11 Graf's to fit more like about a 10.75 CCM.I love my 705's.
blueliner27 12 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I'm supposed to wear 8.5 skate size but I wear 9(ice) or 9.5(roller). I have no prob.
TBLfan 25 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 btw one thing most people dont take in account is how tight they like their street shoes. I know quite a few people that like their street shoes somewhat loose, I prefer them tight. Which is why I always felt the 1 1/2 sizes down to be a joke. That's why you should go to a quality LHS and get fitted before you buy. Also, for some reason I like my goalie skates tighter. I wear 11 in CCM tacks goalie skates. Jarick 5 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I like to have the toes just barely touching. Any more and my feet get "claustrophobic." Then I start freaking out and want to take off my skates. I'm nuts.9 - 9.5 dress shoe, 9.5 - 10 street, 8D skates. I tried on a bunch of skates until I found some that fit last year...then I got fitted at my LHS with one of those foot rulers. Turns out the foot ruler and trial and error both came to the exact same size...8D. B)
