So, will everyone be wearing All Star Gloves, or will guys be wearing their own team gloves?

I always like that look. Like the Baseball ASG were they wear their own team hats...but All Star Jerseys.

They will be wearing matching gear, not their regular stuff.

yeah i read in the hockey news that they all will be wearing the same gloves....the questions is what gloves?

No, matching color, not style of brand.

Will this new material/technology be filtered down to the replica jerseys as well...or will they remain the way they are now?

If material doesn't change in Reps...will the cut of those change to match the Pro jerseys.

Will the new socks be available to retail? I'd be interested in trying them...they look like they fit very tightly, and (I'd assume) won't stretch and get beat up the way wool ones do. Will normal velcro jocks shorts work on the new socks...?

(I think that just about covers my questions...)

NOTE: There will be an up close on the jerseys tomorrow on TSN "That's Hockey". They will also look at some other new developments in Equipment. Looked like Easton Composite skates and RBK 9K sticks.

Any jersey with a lace on the front looks very classy and old school at the same time. I love that look.

Actually, it won't be lace up...here is some info from the article:

"The Blue Jackets’ new look will include Civil War cap emblems on the shoulders. The lettering and number fonts are expected to remain the same. The shoulders will not be black, as they are on the current third jersey, nor will there be a "lace-up" look under the chin"

Did anyone else see the episode of "Thats Hockey" on TSN today? They had a section of the show, "In the Booth" and the announcer, Gord (something) was wearing the jersey, and they showed everything about it; the stretch/vented material under the arms.

Off Topic:

They also showed all the new skates and gloves for '07 from the trade show (i'm guessing the show that the pics are from in another thread). They showed the S15 skates and the 9k stick, SE stick (and ccm skates)..etc

I saw the replica Western Conference jersey at the mall today & I was less than impressed. The material is a little thicker than the RBK practice jerseys that you can get. I like the material, but hated what they did with the conference logo and All-Star game patch. At first glance, I thought they looked silk-screened on. But the logo and shoulder patch are stitched on, but they are thin and have absolutely no texture to them. They are completely smooth. For example, if you pick up a current Red Wings jersey, you can feel each "feather" on the wing & each spoke of the wheel & the logo is thick. I hope that the game jerseys are better than this & this was just done to cut costs. But it was tagged at $110, so I don't think cost cutting was the case.

They screened the logo onto tackle twill and sew that on

I thought that made it look really cheap. The tackle twill is really thin, so at first glance it looked screened on.

I really like them.

Does anyone know if they will sell just the jersey alone, without the front logo?

Anyone know more about the socks? I'd love a pair of lighter socks that don't hold water as much.

I like the fit and material of the new jerseys. If they don't screw up the team designs too bad this might actually be a good move.

Their not as bad as I thought. I thought their would be a massive change. Are those the pants everyone was talking about? It just looks like a fancy girdle.

I like them, both the jerseys and the socks

I especially like how the stripes on the socks wrap around and go vertical at the back.
