Recommended Posts

[according to innovative's website] they came in 'rectangular' or 'convex'(fat bulgy). what does it feel like?

They also came in 0 the cyclone shape and a double concave as well.

I thought 30 referred to a tapered shaft.

I think this is right. I have a few tapered Novius shafts stamped 30/260, and as far as I know all Novius were the same shaft shape (and wouldn't have a shaft shape stamp).

This isn't about the flex, but I didn't see the need to make a new thread.

I bought the shaft and put my old Easton Synthesis blade in it. When I was putting it in I noticed it felt a little tight on the way in, but I didn't worry about it.

First slapshot I take at practice, the blade breaks off perfectly at the end of the shaft. Any ideas on why this happened? Do Easton blades just not work well in Inno shafts? Really weird, I've never broken a blade at all except for cracking it on the bottom.

That's pretty damn odd as I've never had a problem that severe happen that fast with an Easton blade in a Inno shaft.

Sorry to hear that it happened that way, but at least the blade wasn't loose in the shaft after it told you it never had a blade in it before.

wow thats funny, not even a week ago i got a dolomite and put my old synergy II (wood) blade in it, same as you tight going in, first used blowdryer like i always do, didnt work so put some baby oil on the blade to try to get it in, didnt work and infact heard a tiny crack, heard them before, not a big one at all not a big deal, so i just sanded the top of the blade and with some trial and error it eventually got in fine, works perfectly

Hmmm...strange. I heated it up really good before it got in there, so I'm not sure what it could have been. I'm going to put my RBK 6k in it later tonight and see if it feels the same way going in. Maybe some Easton blades don't fit that great in Inno shafts. I'll report back later.

I finally got the remainder of the blade out, but man was it an ordeal. I drilled a screw down in there, heated it up, and gave it a good pull, but all I was getting to was the foam material and it came right out. I tried it again right next to the first hole and same result. So I grabbed a pair of needle nose pliers, stuck the prongs down into each hole and finally got the thing out. The 6K went in perfectly, no problems.

from my experiences with the Novius a 30-260 would be a tapered 260 flex, and a 24-260 would be a standard 260 flex. not sure how it translates to 1100s.
