Hottest Product for 2007-2008

Recommended Posts

Not sure how "Hot" they will be across tradtional markets in North America, but I am really looking forward to seeing how the Mission AG120 skate and Fuel/VDS stick line will do.

I know it will at least sell well here in Kalifornia......

I also get a little confused with Mission, because they change things all the time. When they change something, it's hard to know why, for example whether they changed it because there were problems with it etc. I was happy to see them update the wicked light name from years past, which i think will lead to high sales, as people who liked those skates will buy them again. Hopefully mission will keep that line going, just like bauer, ccm, etc does with certain lines. Brand name is very important, even within the overall brand.

I've always believed Mission's problem was in the constant renaming of updated, tweaked skate lines. Bauer's Vapor line is probably a far cry from what they were when they first came out but they created name recognition. I think Mission would benefit from doing the same.

When you don't have a large market share, you have to change things up from time to time in order to try and improve sales. That goes for Easton and Mission.

Understood, but you improve the product and keep the name, ie. Mission has put out a Supple Fit skate under at least 3 different names now, the "S" line, AG line, and now Fuel AG line. A better move may have been to keep them under the original "S" naming convention and merely increasing numbers, similar to how Bauer and CCM are with their Vapor and Vector lines.

There was never just an "AG" line. You are right about 3 different SuppleFit lines though. First was the Pure series, then the S series, and now the Fuel AG line.
