Search around a bit. There was the Redwings work-out and another one set up by a guy who worked with the Flyers at one point. I was doing the Flyers guy one and saw good results.

Plyometrics too.

Thats a shame. If you can get them fixed anyway, I would highly suggest it.

Plyos are fairly high impact, not good for the knees. I know all about it.

I think he was adding to Chris's post, as to what to stay away from.

What, I'm not allowed to agree and add my experience?

Sure you can. I misunderstood your post.

Evidently you didn't. Next time, just don't bother posting if it has nothing to do with you.

If you have a bad knee or problems in general with impact aerobics, then try swimming, with a kickboard to isolate your legs. Also, if your pool manager will let you, you could run sprints in the lap pool; strap running weights to your ankles and thighs and even a weight vest over your shoulders, and sprint from one end of the pool to the other- you won't even get that sore either, cuz the impact has a lot to do with how sore you get... Running hills doesn't have to be high impact if you concentrate on teh pushoff instead of how fast your steps are (hard to explain but if you try it it will work...)

The stationary bike has little to no impact on the knees, and is excellent for burning fat and building leg strength.

Forgot about that, wow I'm slow this morning. Also, you could use a Versaclimber if your gym has one; great cardio workout.

unless the bike is too low.

ive learned to try and stay away fromt he computer type bikes and use the nikes they would use in a spinning class (ie real outdoor bikes with one wheel.)

yglod, I actually have a spinning bike at my house. When the club that im a member at replaced the spin bikes, they sold the older ones. I ride the spin at home, and take classes at the club. I'd recomend spinning to any hockey player, amazing cardio workout.

Mark Messier and Lindros always rode the bike after games in their prime. I might have the names mixed up, but you'll get the point.

Ya, you do have the names mixed up. It's Mark Lindros and Messier.

sorry :D

Bike, Rollerblade. Work on sprints, work on endurance so you have the ability to recover quickly, but don't forget to do speed work and really push yourself. You can always goto a public skate which is not very crowded and just work out on the ice as well with skating drills.
