It's funny seeing Weisbrod doing all of the interviews...you can tell he has no idea about basketball (Weis played at Harvard and had a cup of coffee in the NHL, funny story too about a game he played against LA back in the early 90s)

Francis was supposed to be there for two days, but it just took one. It wasn't fully a done deal. The Magic got cold feet last week, but decided to take the deal so they don't have to wait until July 14th and deal with all the salary cap stuff.

While Francis may not be on TMac's level, he's a great player and seems like a good guy. A lot of guys say that TMac is kind of a jackass. I've actually met Cuttino Mobley.... he's a good player and also a good guy. Adding Mobley into the deal and factoring in all the cash that Houston has to take on, it's about an even trade (even more so when you realize that the Magic would've gotten nothing when TMac opted out of his contract).

Hopefully Francis has matured a bit since he was drafted by my hometown grizzlies. His pout dduring the interview soured me on him. No doubt he is a good player, although maybe not a great team player. He gets along fine with Cat tho. I wonder if they werent traded together, if they would have given their wink and cat arm bands back to each other or worn them on their new teams.
