I'm sure NBH liked that... guess xxx-lites or one90's aren't that popular... and warrior... new company... it's like the pros don't even understand that they're using inno's when read you what slava kozlov says...

No quotes from RBK? Not so good with the picture of their stick on top. I guess they don't have very good marketing or PR people.

They have very good marketing people. They aren't saying a word, they're letting people talk about it and build hype... and it's working.

I thought Christian had the first aluminum shafts and Busch had the first composite sticks?

People like to ignore Busch sticks for some reason.

Maybe the Easton gospel of having to be first? Also wasnt Fontaine the first to have the graphite shafts?

Easton was the first manufacturer through a partnership with Christian. Easton and Christian got together back in the mid 80's to produce the first aluminum hockey shaft. Christian engineered the first replacement blade as a result of that partnership.

Actually the first composite stick was used way back in 1980. I think it was Mike Ramsey who tried the stick out after the olympics when he was with the Buffalo sabres. It was made by a Chinese manufacturer but there with issues with stick that they could not correct and Ramsey ended up ditching it. Check out the Bufflo Sabres Morning Skate podcast on iTunes(its free), they have an interview with their equipment guy Rip Simonick who tells the whole story.

I have a very old Canadien Alluminum shaft at home, it dates back to the early 80's cause it used to be my uncles when he played hockey and he died in 1984.

Interesting side note...

The Canadian University playoffs start tomorrow night and one series will see the 2 Montreal-based university teams, Concordia and McGill, facing off against each other in a best-of-3.

Per above, Concordia is a test team for CCM/RBK, while McGill does a lot of testing for Nike Bauer...

Should be a good one, stay tuned.

KC

I just can't comment until I try it. Like I said, mine's showing up in April, but it just may end up on here if it's not a P34 - I don't get to pick a pattern.

If its not a P34, let me know, i may be interested.

Also, what is this sticks retail price?
