Kovy_Ribs_Fedo 3 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Good point here...Serioulsy you are wrong Pat. Those moves are not game-realistic. Kovalev, Havlat, Jagr, Datsyuk etc... has much better hands then Schremp. And when I'm talking of hands I know what I'm talking about. That's the best set of hands I can think of, most guys can't even get the puck up on their stick and he's doing twirls. And to add to that the players listed above can skate. Schremp has a strange kick back at the end of his stride, watch his skates instead of his hands, ugly.....

He's got great hands and what he can do is impressive, but I much rather watch Federov or Datsyuk with the puck in full flight....

Project824 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2007 but I tend to think he spends way too much time practicing that crap when he should be working on his skating. I have no problem right now saying that I am a better skater than Robby Schremp and I'm not that great.Right, the guy's just a bender with hands, the career 185 goals and 289 assists in the OHL don't mean jack...I'm sure if you had to beat Schremp to a puck or contain him, a guy posting on MSH might have a little trouble, but after all you're a better skater than him.The kid's got a lot of talent, keep in mind he's 20. He could jump to the NHL at 24 and that would be an acceptable development period, and play 10-15 years. Is it possible some of you guys are ripping on Schremp simply because he's willing to try some "showboat" stuff in a meaningless charity shootout? A guy with his numbers coming out of Major Jr. would be said to have quite a bit of potential, especially at 20. But hey, what do the Oilers know, they never even should have drafted him, his skating sucks.

Flack38 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 You know these moves aren't that hard and they have been around for a while, I just think more people are paying attention to them because theres so much more access now. My teammates and I were picking up the puck between our legs and taking lacross shots about 8 years ago. I think if anyone took about 15-20 mins of their time per day it wouldn't take long for you to be able to get the feel of whats going on. I've actually been seeing a lot of young kids posting videos on youtube doing this. I think I'm going to have to agree with everyone he really needs to work on his skating and if hes going to be a "flashy" player like this he needs to put more than 8 goals in the back of the net thats for sure.
