Pro replica One90 skates

Recommended Posts

I have seen the likes of Iggy, Naz and Lang to name a few of the pro's who are wearing Replica One90 skates. They look the One90 but have a different outsole and heel (not the model on the E/W Hockey site). So with that being said; what are the quarters of these skates made of? Is it that same material but just shaped differently or what? Also, why arent more pro's wearing the actuall One90's? I would have to thought that if ANYBODY would it would be the pros? Sorry so long and thanks in advance

I thought they might have been some other sort of material because they have that same silver looking quarters on them as the 0ne90.

BTW; Can you put a larger runner on a skate. Such as a 280 tuuk runner on a size 8d skate?

It's the same material as ONE90, but not "ONE90'd" is my guess. It is Surlyn, same as Vapor.

JR What is the D? I new if anyone could answer this it would be you. Would YOU have been able to order these for yourself from Bauer?

Please nobody ask JR if he can get these for them.

Read it again...I guess the apostrophe wasn't understood. What I mean is that the material for the quarters is the same as the ONE90, but hasn't been shaped like the ONE90 is, hence the ONE90'd reference.

Actually, not available for the public, but trying to get a set made for someone I know.

Very good friend of mine, and we're trying to get it done because he wanted 8090s the first time around. He ended up getting custom ONE90s and did not work for him, so now trying to make it right.

About the holder sizes on skates, my pro stock vapor 10's have size 288 holders on them, while my pro stock ignite's have 280's. Both skates are essentially the same, both are 10D and have custom + holders. There is a chart on Hockeygiant that has the holder sizes for the corresponding skate sizes, but who knows if that is correct.

The reason I asked is because I ran into an X Pro yesterday and he was having a larger holder than usual (so I thought) put on his skate.

Thats called a chassis...not an outsole. Big difference. But yes, he painted his chassis black, because hes got to keep it clean out there.

Zach

You mean 'holder'.

Chassis are for roller, Holders are for ice.

is it just me or is the skate really narrow?

Great picture. Thats what I was looking for. How did you find that? What did you type in the search at Getty Images.
