Recommended Posts

Do you see any other companies besides Kor developing something like the Toe-glove the in the near future? If not is it something you could have made custome?

If your skates are tight, the toe glove doesn't help with warmth. My skates are about a quarter of a size too small (rather have them small than big), and my big toes are freezing after the game because they're squeezed in there pretty tight. The rest of my toes fit good and they're warm from the toe glove, but my big toes are cold due to lack of blood circulation. It doesn't help with that.

i grew up playing on outdoor rinks. Usually you just toughed out the cold toes, but when it got really cold we would take an extra set of hockey socks and put them around our skates. it worked pretty well

I thought that the primary reason for the Toeglove was for comfort and added protection. I didnt really think about keeping toes warm.

If I recall the story correctly it was because Primeau didn't like the feel of the toe cap.

I just liked the toe glove as even though my skates may have been just a smidge large (barely) made it feel like my toes were cradled in comfort nicely at the end of the toe cap like they say you're supposed to be. Didn't notice the warmth thing. Made the skates feel like a custom fit.
