Benefits of two piece over OPS?

Recommended Posts

Quite a few people use comp shafts/woodie blade. I'm in that group and do it for feel and also just preference. It's what I'm used to even though I prefer some of the comp attributes. Plus you can always tweak the curve.

Last night I played half a game with my two piece (Redlite + wood blade) and half the game with my "one piece" (Vapor XX is actually a two piece with composite blade).

My passes received were a little better with the wood blade. But my shots felt much better with the composite blade. Seems that every goal I've scored this year has been with that composite blade, especially when I switch from the wood blade stick in game (for some odd reason).

I'm going to try an ST blade in the Redlite and see if that helps. If not, I'll probably end up dumping the shaft and blades and just get another Bauer as I really like the stick.

i love the composite woodie feel... its sweet for slappers and dribbling but just doesn't have that extra kick from a composite blade when it comes to wristing or snapping

I cant stand the two peice's cause they stand so bottom heavy.

The trick is finding a good combo. I've got 5-6 blades sitting here in my room without a shaft because they aren't the right weight.
