Jagr on the Block?

Recommended Posts

Well this is a brilliant idea by Sather! Now Jagr may tell Renney don't bother to put him in the line-up. This is a great way to motivate your best player. Tell him he's on the trading block.

I know there are 29 other teams in the league but tell me how your team is more dysfunctional than the Rangers year-after-year-after-year. I have been watching this nonsense since 1968. It never stops.

ESPN is saying he might be on the block too, but that might have just been because of the post's article

"Deadline Day

We are hours away from the 3 p.m. ET trade deadline and some teams are still looking to make a deal. Bill Guerin? Jaromir Jagr? Jason Blake? All are in the mix. Rumors Insider | Analysis Live"

Hello, My name is allsmoke, and I am a caps fan.

Our highest paid player, plays on the New York Rangers.

That automatically makes us more disfunctional

I would have a heart attack if somehow he was delt to the Wild.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Pancake on that one...but I'd put the Islanders on the podium as well.

Disfunctional Olympic Standings:

Gold: Caps (but getting better)

Silver: Islanders

Bronze: Rangers

All drafted by New York Islanders:

Brian McCabe, Todd Bertuzzi, Wade Redden, Zdeno Chara, JP Dumont, Roberto Luongo, Eric Brewer, Taylor Pyatt, Tim Connolly, and Raffi Torres. Ouch!

With the Rangers, its not about who they draft, its about who they trade for.

You would then cry when he goes out and underperforms and shows a lack of effort game and game out.

Ill be so glad when he is off the Caps books.

Don't forget the first round pick they traded in the Yashin deal that was used to pick Jason Spezza!

So, if the Islanders hadn't been so poorly managed (i.e. had never hired Mike Milbury) - the core of their current roster could include... Wade Redden, Jason Spezza, Dany Heatley, and Zdeno Chara?... Thank you, New York Islanders! Maybe in the summer, they'll trade us Jason Blake for half a bottle of cleaning solution for someone's visor!

... Not that the Sens haven't made a few dumb moves, though - When they drafted Alexandre Daigle, they could have had Paul Kariya or Chris Pronger... or Saku Koivu, or Todd Bertuzzi for that matter... pretty much everyone else picked in the first round of that draft would have been better... or Ryan Smyth instead of Radek Bonk.

No, I knew about Gaborik. The point I was making in my post was that all those players they let go ended up in Ottawa.

... Also, we all forgot to mention that they had Olli Jokinen too. I hope O'Marra and Nilsson turn out great too, so the Isles keep the streak alive!

With Jagr, its a difficult situation. He is so up and down with his play it is really a love-hate relationship with most of the fans. I kind of hope he retires after his contract is up so that some of the guys in Hartford will get a shot.

Word around the campfire was the Wings were looking to flip Bertuzzi and Lang for Jagr.

I was so glad that the Rangers didn't do anything stupid by trying to acquire Bertuzzi or another veteran.
