I was watching the Devils- Isles game on versus and they kept commenting on how DiPietro is out indefinitly but never said why. They even interviewed Sean Hill about it.

Anybody know why he's out?

He's still having problems from his head injury last month. Apparently he took a shot off the head and Avery fell on him during the Rangers game Sunday and he has had headaches since.

The team is hesitant to say "Concussion" (according to Bobby Mac on tsn)...

But it all stems back to the Begin knee in the head.

This could be the break that the other 5 teams looking for those playoffs spots needed.

Well they don't play again until friday, so him not playing "only" cost them last nights game. Even then, dunham played very well... until he got injured as well. As far as why, theres every reason to believe its post concussion syndrome, though the team is saying its not. He did take a Jagr shot to the head followed by avery falling on it, I think that would get most goalies heads ringing

Zednik has also been excused from the team for personal reasons, and is currently back in Slovakia to attend to family matters.

Coach Ted Nolan referred to both players and said, “We’re a family-oriented team, and both guys are where they should be.â€

(both was referring to Zed and Satan who was excused because his wife had to have an emergency apendectomy

Well, they finally officially said it was a concussion... actually, they're reporting he got a SECOND one when avery landed on him in the game last sunday.
