Yeah well, its a bit hard to beat not only the best team in the NHL, but the worst officiating I've seen in a playoff series that I can ever remember.

I'm not saying I buy into the whole conspiracy theory against the Islanders that a lot of people around here are saying, but it has gotten to the point of ridiculousness after the last two games.

You are playing Buffalo. It's not a conspiracy against you, its the fact Buffalo gets a ton of favourable calls because of their reputation as a small, fast team.

A lot of the complaints are totally unfounded. Anyone who actually thinks that goal should have counted is absolutely crazy.

I'm not so much talking about major calls, as much as their reputation is allowed to dictate how the game is played. They are known divers, but get a ton of calls on it, while being allowed to hook, hold and pick alot more than others because they have the reputation of a skating team.

I actually think it's relieving that the NHL has most of the same offciating problems as any other league in the world...

Makes me sustain the terrible ref's in my league a little easier...

I'm not just talking about no goals being counted for goals or goals being called no goals, but penalties as well.

Poti got 4min for a high stick that drew no blood (and when was the last time you saw a ref call penalties on both defenders when a guy tried to split the D), but the hit from behind on blake in game 4 only was a single minor penalty

I do like Brad May only getting 3 games for chasing down Johnson, dropping his gloves, and knocking him unconscious, only to pick him back up and drop him when he sees he's out cold.

Jarick- Although youre also a Wild fan, I'm glad its not just me that cant believe how that series was handled. How about game 4? when Vellieux gets a shot to the jaw after litterally standing outside the crease, and is the only one called. I thought the officiating was simply brutal the whole series, let alone how they handled the Johnson situation.
