I like the whole line of stuff. I especially like the skates-looking forward to purchasing a pair-not sure which one's as of yet. I am still using my 9500's and liking them alot. I did replace the the hi-low chassis with a hummer chassis. Had to dremmel the boot a little bit.

The fact that you eliminate the 'pastvert' make the skate look better for sure. Now I'm septic about weight.

I agree with the guy : since the D-x model, Mission skates do not look as good as before... I'm still with Type-M, the last boot which looks unique.

More over, since 2 years there is no more innovation... it seems it's just recycling :( .

Without forgetting that now other brand make better skate (better fit, good looking, way more lignter and cheaper ...)

And I don't understand why after 2004, top-of-the-line models are less beautiful than bottom-of-the-line. I mean when you compare Wicked 1 and 3 it's difficult to kwon which one is the high end model and the wicked 5 looks better than both of them. Even here, no one knew when you first post the BOSS picture, that the BOSS was THE top of the line  .

PS: Please forgive my very bad english I'm from France (So it's a french point of view. But anyway thanks a lot Justin for what you are doing ;) )

Glad to see that someone is finally giving me the plaid that I've been wanting for a few years. Seriously though, everything looks good.

I have to agree. While I like the new line up I think the design on the lower models often looks nicer then the higher models. But that is probably due a lot to my own personal preference. And I know performance should trump looks but when spending $500 you want it all. I hope a store near me gets them in soon after release because some of them JUST got the Wicked lines.

Just out of curiosity, why? You are actually the first person with a negative comment on the whole line. I know I can't make every one happy, but I appreciate your feedback.

Perhaps i was a little harsh on the line with my wording? I guess im not a huge fan because i'm somewhat of a traditionalist. White and other flashy colors/patterns just dont do anything for me. Thats why the S500 appealed so much to me. Its styling is just so low-key but beautiful in every angle.

Im sure the design(s) will grow on me in the future just as every one has since the Helium line was introduced. You and Mission do a great job of coming up with fresh designs every year, and i applaud that.

That said, im sure i will own atleast a few pieces from the '08 Mission line. You cant argue Missions performance.

Justin; I think that you guys at mission are doing a great thing. I understand the Traditional thing, I really do because thats the way I like to go also. Buyin 9500s last year was a stretch.for me, I like black and white gloves, and I have only worn Bauer 4000 helmet.

However, I think that what Mission has done over the years(I was selling skates when mission came out) for our sport is really great. Roller hockey seems to be driven by the younger generation. I have two kids, so I know that I am funding it, but they are driving it.

Justin, Keep innovating, keep pushing the envelope, and keep making products that are great.

And, if you have to, keep making products that are fashionable, it seems that this site and the rinks are filled with people who really want to look good while they are playing.

I'd also have to agree. With the tour goalie skates, the better one is extremely (IMO) ugly (compared to the lower end). But, that's really not a problem, as noone really sees them anyways.

I could care less what my skates look like… Isn’t the point to get the pair that fits and feels the best on your foot? Not what colors the skate are.

Justin, i love everything on the new line. Would mission ever look at doing an all 80's chassis as opposed to a hi-lo or would that be un origional? I love the look of the new skaates and the mission boots have always been very comfortable but the only think thats keeping me from buying missoin skates anymore is the hi-lo's as opposed to the all 80s tour hummer chassis

Unoriginal? Maybe... Patent violation? Likely.

The current Mission skates have a similar profile to the all 80 hum'er frames as the Tour skates have a recessed boot notch under the toes so they tilt forward. Have you tried the Vanguard frames yet? I'm a Tour guy when it comes to my skates but I liked the pitch of the 76/80's on the Missions when I tried them out. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the Hum'er.

Very true as I mentioned in my post that performance should trump, but when spending as much money as some of these skates cost then I believe we the consumer should be able to get it all.

Could you not just mount the hummer frame if you wanted it and carve the little bit out of the boot that is necessary for the all 80's to work.

Hoffer, stop being so hostile. Lots of people would love to have the money to buy another chassis, find a reliable guy to mount the skates, and then pay for mounting and the additional cost and time of dremmelling out that chunk under the outsole. It's not a very simple process for most people, and you must understand that. He asked the questions he asked because if Mission did infact mount 80mm straight frames, it would save him a whole lot of time, money, and hassle. I'm not saying that Mission will or even can do this, but I would love that, too. The vanguard is an awesome frame though, so it's almost not worth changing.

Speaking of the frames... I really want to put some Vanguards on my 10000's. Justin, is there a way to do this without voiding out my warranty?

Sorry if I came of as hostile. My first post was my personal view and yes with the second post maybe some people could not afford something like that but I have seen it on players at tournaments a few times. Also thanks for the link CSW1618.

I don't know about you guys, but those action shots of the Boss skates make them look a hell of a lot better than the studio shots. Built for speed. Maybe some action shots in the studio are in order? Ha.

One observation and this will probably not be a problem on the production skates after the R&D work... those white boots are getting marked up and showing it prominently. Is there a coating or something in the works to prevent this?

I see you reason, though, don't get me wrong... Mission isn't going to just go grab the Hum'er frame and slap it onto their boot... it's almost unethical. There's really no way in the next few years at least that it's going to happen.

And definitely some good links CSW.

good one atl stealth, obviously some one is a little touchy

And yes, I guess I am a bit touchy. When it comes to arguing with people who have nothing to contribute to a useful discussion except for their skewed, pointless opinions, I don't really want to waste my time. If you have nothing useful to say, no opinion even remotely involving the 2008 Mission skates, get out of the thread. Each time you post is another extra time I have to roll my click wheel. You're wasting my energy.

I like the look of the Boss gloves and the double split fingers. Are they only going to be in leather/synthetic leather or will they also be available in a Nylon version as well?

Well you obviously do like to waste your time and i'm not about to listen to some internet dude who thinks he is the boss of the world. Go take a chill pill and stop directing around in this thread like you are above me or anyone else.

Anyways. Has anybody tried the hyper wheels shown on the assasin and boss?

If you can find me this "chill pill," I'd gladly take one.

The wheels you're talking about should be the Saturn and Trinity Flex, respectively. Heard mixed reviews through the forum.
