The Boss boots are amazing. I put them through one quick bake and then after about an hour skating they felt as good as my 9500's did after many hours, blisters, and bloodied socks. On my feet, they feel lower cut than the 9500's. I don't wrap the laces around the top and still have plenty of stability while enjoying good foreword flex. They are also very light. As near as I can tell these are my dream boots.

The Vanguard design is tremendous, I also did not try the WIcked line last year, but I really cannot imagine anyone having trouble breaking these in. I understand that some people have unique foot structures which would seem to create headaches no matter what boot you try.

Look foreword to these, they will be worth the wait.

I would guess that the Wicked 5 would have decent durability. Although if you are determined to spend less than $300 it might be worth the wait for the '08s to come out. Then you could get the 08 $300 price point model (assassin I think or maybe the Lieutenant) or get the Wicked 1 for around the same price.

Dont think the LT or assasin are the price point skates. I think the skate lines will be as follows from best down:

Boss

LT

Assasin

Soldier

& should have another 2 or so like the 3500 and 1500.

Thats what I think though...

So what's up with the Mission brand wheels coming out in October too?? Did Mission buy someone out?? Anything interesting about the wheels or are they single-pour urethane on regular wheel hubs??

im 99% sure that when i was at the 2008 product demo that the mission reps said that hyper was making the mission branded wheels, i believe the prototype still had the hyper logo on the hub, as for how many pours i believe that it is a price point single pour wheel.

hey guys,

I noticed that great skate.com had a size 12 listed but not a 13. I am assuming that mission will also manufacture a size 13 and great skate is just not carrying that size. Can anyone confirm that. I have my eye on the lt. and would like to purchase them from my lhs. thanks.

With the new Boss skates the retail version shows the Hyper wheels as they are supposed to be great wheels but how come in the Narch pics the mission players are all or most are using other wheels I think they are the blue and white RR hornets on most? So does that say something about the Hyper wheels?

It's because the blue skate that I photoshopped is so much better than the green. :P How can you skate on green wheels knowing that blue would make you look so much better?

so very very true
