Endplug/Cap

Recommended Posts

cut stick to length, insert wood plug, cut flush, tape

to remove: just insert a wood screw, heat and use pliers to pull plug out (never had to do this, but that's how I'd do it)

I think it dampens vibration, but have an SL that has no plug in it yet and don't notice it being too bad. gives piece of mind I guess

if your set on a end cap, just ask at your LHS, they probably have a few laying around that'd fit.

for some reason i actually like playing without an plug or even a cap. I guess its kinda weird that i do actaully like the "hollow" feel, but if someone can really prove that putting the cap in does make a performance difference, i might have to go back

I pulled the end cap off my stick last night and scored 3 goals...so, I'm all for no cap. Actually, if I don't need a wood extension, I usually leave the end open. Can't recall why I left it in this stick.

I hope you no cap/no end plug guys are taping over the edge of the shaft to avoid accidental core sampling.

I usually don't use one if the sticks long enough, but I found when i got my SL it felt blade heavy to me so i put a plug in and cut it flush (as rusthole said I've used the wood screw before it works good). The stick actually felt heavier without the plug for me and now its balanced alot better. Ive noticed a few pros even with shorts sticks use a good amount of plug just to shave it down for their grip but I like usuing minimal as i can.

Well thats what I thought about those new fancy Warrior caps, so I didn't worry about doing that. I couldn't budge it when I tried to pop it out before, and then 6-7 shots in something went flying 20 ft. into the air, and there lay my cap.
