MIA Gloves

Recommended Posts

to my knowledge, you can order them with or without locked thumb.

I've even seen them with different materials, mostly carbon with tuff terry (I hope that's what they call it) stripes.

They'll pretty much do whatever you want.

I don't think MIA's lok anything like Eagle or Feel like Eagles..

really? i always thought that they looked near identical to eagles, specifically the top picture that is posted looks like the x70's in my opinion. besides the fact that mia smarted up and gave people what they wanted, split fingers instead of thoes stupid pre curved fingers eagle seemed to be in love with.

All recent Eagles have came with split fingers...

I have a pair, when i first got them they were the comfiest glove ive ever tried, but now the plams always crusty, my fault of course, protection is ok i guess, i got hit on the pinky a few times and its stung and left a bruise.

IMO there a waste of $$, you can find a better glove for much cheaper, i mean sure custom colors are nice, but hockey isnt about looking nice

Especially in this case where other manufacturers offer team discounts for quality gloves.

I wouldn't get the "durable" carbon, because when it comes to durability it's not soo much durable as it's ummm not durable at all. :D

Tufftek is by far the most durable shell but people seem to fing it cheap because «made in china» gears use a different type of nylon which is really cheaper...

I have played over 200 games with my tufftek MIA gloves and so far their as good/nice as they were when I first got them.

My translation:

They all seem extremely comfortable off the shelf, and in my opinion feel better than eagles. BUT, i just can't see the $200 price tag being justified...for a unique custom glove, maybe, but them going for $190 in retail stores is pretty ridiculous when you can buy a 4-roll glove like the NBH pro for $90.

I still have one pair of MIA's. Real nice glove, but my favorite is the NBH 4-roll pro. The NBH pro is the most comfortable glove I have ever worn.

The MIA's are nice, felt ok when I tried them on, very similar to Eagles, but the look just doesn't do it for me. I don't like the stripes on the back-roll continuing through the fingers and cuff. The price seems a bit excessive compared to other quality gloves as well.
