thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I am in the market for new elbow and shin pads...I've been wearing extremely undersized gear from my youth days for a while now.I am really picky/OCD when it comes to how equipment fits, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend elbow pads to me that are extremely non-intrusive and don't limit the mobility of my arms...basically as close to feeling like I'm not wearing anything as possible while still protecting. The same goes for my search for Shinpads. My LHS has nothing but giant bulky shin pads that I will never wear. I'm a big fan of smaller shin pads that I will forget I am wearing a few minutes after putting them on.any recommendations would be greatly appriciated!! thefelixculpa 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/viewlarge.html?PCODE=E5SGCould I expect these to be narrow?I can't really try anything on before I buy it because the aforementioned LHS is the only one in my area within an hour or so and it is painfully understocked. Razr 2 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I am selling a nice pair or 14" Easton Synergy 300 SGs for cheap, if you're interested...
cause4alarm 7 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 In terms of elbow pads, I'm selling these. They're sized small, so they probably wouldn't fit you, but a similar pad in the same style would be the Jofa 9025 if you want to check them out.
duch 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 The shins you just showed are definitely narrower and closer fitting than say a pair of Jofa or Nike/Bauer shins. Probably just what you need. You might also look into a pair of Sherwood or Nike shins, the Nikes are probably the narrowest of the two.

Jarick 5 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I've been pretty happy with my Stealth S9 elbows, they don't slide around like other pads and don't seem to limit anything.
cougarscaptain87 12 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 for shins id try the s9's if your looking for something with a narrow fit, and weigh nothing. the only thing i dont like is that the entire pad is so narrow, it seems hard to get my knee to sit down, but i have decent sized legs so you might not have to worry about that
tlminh 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2007 I think its personal preference, I have some low end Koho shins and they do the job pretty wellAs for elbows, I initially had low end elbows but they kept sliding down (ive got skinny arms, my watch is set near the lowest size) so i invested in some stealth s5s and they have slipped off since.
