DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted May 22, 2007 The FX show "Rescue Me" was at the Ice House in Hackensack, NJ yesterday filming. This was about the 5th time they have been here to film the last few years. Denis Leary brought in Phil Esposito to play the NYFD coach, Cam Neely is the NYFD goon # 8, and Lyndon Byers,Cam's old Bruins buddy is the guy with the shaved head on NYFD. Leary is wearing # 3 on the dark NYPD jersey. He switches teams in this episode. Here are some photos.http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107008.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107007.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107014.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107019.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107023.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107032.jpghttp://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s252/Da...EME52107036.jpg

RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 How does one go about getting a Tommy Gavin NYPD jersey...that would be SWEEEET!
nyhockey6 1 Report post Posted May 23, 2007 Those aren't the real NYPD jerseys and the FDNY changed their jerseys this past year. The NYPD have Blue Jackets style jerseys. The FDNY wear Calgary's White jersey with FDNY on the chest. The FDNY jerseys from Rescue Me are the ones they've worn since around 2001. Below is a pic of the front logo of the NYPD Jersey I have

#96 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Who's brother died? Leary's? Wasn't his bro a Fireman for Framingham FD or something like that and died in a really bad fire years ago?Rink 2!!! I hope nobody hit the patch right where the zamboni comes out. I swear there's a pocket about an inch deep. Bad corner over there.
DarkStar50 679 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 Leary's brother on the show died #96!! He did have a good buddy die in the Worcester, Mass(I believe) fire a few years ago.The unis that are worn in the show are all "wardrobe." They bring in a ton of boxes filled with pants, socks, helmets, and jerseys for the two teams to wear. Its pretty wild to watch Cam Neely skate around again. His hockey card lists him at 6'1" but there is no way thats right. I was watching him on ice and the guy is simply a monster on skates. He's f'n huge. I was going to ask him to come back for last night's Mens League game. I would love to have seen the fear of God that Cam Neely would put in the other team!Rink 2 is fine. Rink 1 is being totally re-done and will re-open in July. Rink 3 is ok and Rink 4 is still the coldest one in the building.
Hooah4 12 Report post Posted May 24, 2007 I remember Cam was on an episode of 90210 years ago. He was skating around and it looked like he was the coach of a mite team.

I don't know about the show, I don't really watch it. Glad to hear they're fixing it up. The ice literally cracks in some places. Dunno to this day why that is. I remember stopping by the shop a few summers ago and seeing the concrete exposed under rink 4 and it looked like an earthquake hit it.
