new sticks

Recommended Posts

Hi, i need your guys opinion. I just broke my old vapor xxx so i need a new stick, I was thinking along the lines of a warrior dolomite/mac-daddy or an easton stealth/synergy-se. I havent been able to get to my LHS so i thought id ask you. Any other suggestions would be nice, Thanks.

if money isnt an option id def. go for the stealth, then the mac daddy, then the SE, the the Dolomite. the stealth is a nice, lightweight, well balanced, pretty durable and high preforming stick. why not get an XXX-lite though

thanks, i was thinking about the XXX-lite and i tried my friends out at a practice when he got one. I broke it. I payed for him to get it fixed though. I just think its a little bit to flimsy, i HAD a regular XXX and it was ok but it just wasnt for me.

You can't go wrong with either of these sticks. I'm using a Dolomite at the moment and am loving it (coming from a TPS XN10.) I still think the XN10 is the best stick ever made, but their getting hard to find these days. If you've got the money though, go for the Stealth. Most people seem to love theirs although I didn't really dig it enough to dish out that kind of money for it. Whereas a friend of mine buys them 3 at a time.

Well money isnt much of an issue concidering ive saved up for a few new sticks for all of 2006. 1/4 of my paycheck went to hockey sticks and 3/4 went to concerts/new drums/shirts from concerts etc...

id try out a new mission if i were you. i love the feel on my friends fuel. i personally dislike the staelth cnt. it doesnt have any feel for me. to much vibrations in my hands. i use my l-2 over it any time. ive only heard good stuff about the dolomites though. never tried one personally

Ive tried the Hex-1 and i assume the V-Hex is identical other then paint job, all-in-all it was an ok stick but it was to whippy at a 75 flex. By the way Davis, you can get XN10 intermediate sticks at hockey giant for pretty cheap. (only have left messier)

As you may have read, the Mac Daddy is similar, if not the same as the XXX (not lite) so this may not be the stick for you. I have a Stealth CNT and I personally love it. I also have a Dolomite and a Mac Daddy. The Dolomite is the heaviest of the three, but is still great preforming. I have not had a durabillity issue with any of the sticks.

V-hex is different. The blade has both hex and vds technology in it. IMO a drastically improved blade

I appreciate the heads-up though, brother.

If you really liked the XN10 then you should try the new Response Lite.

I dont have a problem with the XXX, its just the XXX-Lite. It breaks to easy, too grippy, only one good curve, too whippy. About the R8, its pretty much the same as the response armor just lighter and with a "grip zone".

Davis, at hockeygiant they have Adrenaline's and response armor's with or without grip for around 100$ U.S

I have a one90 that my friend sold me, he used it once and thought it was too small, payed 75$ CD. One question on skates, is it worth the extra money to upgrade from the stealth s11 to the s15? is it that big of a difference?

I actually found that the XXXlite felt stiffer than the XXX.

The Response lite is more comparable to the XN10, in my opinion.

Is there a difference between the /06 and /07 dolomites? If there isnt any big difference i can get an /06 for half the price. I was probably going to get the SE because its a little cheaper and i find it a little stiffer.

The XXX i had was previously broken and fixed so i guess that made it a little stiffer. Youre right about the R8-lite being like the XN10 but i found that the Adrenaline was pretty close as well.

Ok, ive added 2 new sticks to the list. My four choices are: RBK 7K, Mission Hex-1, Easton Synergy SE, Warrior Dolomite. I can only get 2, preferably something stiff.

If you're considering a RBK 7K then go with it. I am currently using one after using a Stealth (which by the way I also reccomend). The 7k is one of the best sticks I have ever used. You can feel the puck on the blade better than pretty much any stick out there, great movement on wrist and snap shots also. The blade is also nice and stiff, unlike the Stealth. I went from a 100 flex Stealth to an 85 flex 7k and didn't notice a considerable difference, but that could be due to my cutting off about an inch and a half off of my sticks. Using it has made me VERY excited for when my 9k arrives next month.

yeah, the 9K0 will totally be indestructable and will add 20MPH on your wrist shot. I already have 10 on pre-order.

i use some sticks that nobody else here seem to like, so i'm no help (other than comic relief) in this thread. :D
