patr0510 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 You boys had some help for the pimples, so I thought I'd ask this. Is there any remedies or tips to sweat less. I'm not fat or anything, I just tend to sweat alot. Usually in classes I'll get pit stains through two shirts. Any products prevent this?

godiogo 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 There are shots you can get to keep you from sweating so much. One of my friends had the same problem with pitstains, and after the shots (I think they affect the sweat glands around your underarms) he doesn't sweat through his armpits anymore, only through his stomach/back. You won't stop the flow, but you will divert it to something that's not as embarrassing.
LkptTiger 1 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 My girlfriend's ex-roommate has/had a problem. She's been using prescription deodorant/anti-perspirant - the stuff has completely squashed the issue - but be warned: your pits will "tingle" for a few minutes following application. Ngo_35 1 Report post Posted May 28, 2007 yep anti perspirant does what it says. It blocks the pors making you sweat elsewhere. Something along the lines of that. I find if im not using it my pits are sweaty and my back is somewhat dry. But when I do use it my pits are dry but my back well i'll let my t shirt do the talking. Hooah4 12 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 I have a terrible problem w/sweaty feet spreading plantar warts to other regios of my feet. It was so bad that my podiatrist prescribed some foot "drier". It worked but when I looked up the active ingredient it was Formaldehyde (that's the "tingling" sensation) . I threw it away and just decided to buy good socks and shoes. Sven 1 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 Sweating is nothing bad. I just drink sparkling water instead of juices, coke, sodas, etc. and its just normal that i sweat a tad more. Also a sign of good hydration.
fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 I usually sweat buckets, really get drenched sometimes that it looks like I've gone for a swim and not a short jog. Doenst help that I used to live in humid Singapore either... I've also got sweaty palms and i just remember to wipe my hands discretely on my pants before shaking hands. Sweaty feet, just need an extra change of socks if I'm going to be out for a long time.My brother's got sweaty palms and went for some treatment. basically its a day operation where they cut a nerve in the armpit. Cuts the flow of perspiration to the palms. He doenst get sweaty palms anymore, but gets a more sweaty chest and back. Reinforces the point about the redirection of flow. You could try wearing one of those dri-fit, underarmor or wick away t shirts underneath. I've tried that before and it helps a lot. Wished I had bought another color besides red though ;)think of it this way as well, its your body's way of losing heat. Not saying that you are fat or anything (I'm 6ft tall, 210lbs, and can lose about 3 lbs of water playing a good session of hockey), but it could be cause your body has a higher metabolism. UMWhockey 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2007 there is something called Maxim antiperspirant that you can search for on-line. It is something that you apply before you go to bed every day or every other day. I had the same problem when I was in college and used this stuff and it worked great. After a while the problem went away and all I use now is Mitchum and it works great
