Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 This is probably going to upset someone, but I couldn't find the exact information I was looking for so I thought I'd ask. A friend of mine ordered two Dolomite OPS with Green curves. He doesn't like them and asked me if I want to buy them for half price. Since it's $15 more than what my woodies cost, I thought I'd give it a shot. Right now, I use a LeClair Sherwood 9950, low lie (4.5 according to the stick). How will these stick he has compare? I can't check them out before I buy them because we don't live very near to one another, and all of the posts about the Green curve on this board just said "low lie." Hockey Monkey, where he bought them, says the lie is a 3. I've read Warrior's numbers are off, so what would it be the equivalent of?My current pattern description:Leclair: Mid Moderate, Slightly Open, Medium, 4.5 lie, Round Monkey's Green description:Green: MID-OPEN, 3 lie, ROUND, 11.00", 240, Close to DRAPER, Easton equivalent of SAKIC
Chadd 916 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 Green is longer and not as open as the Draper/Sakic from what I recall. I thought it was a 5.5 lie but I could very well be wrong as I haven't seen one in a couple years.

Cavs019 710 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 Chadd is spot on, except I thought the lie was lower than my Drurys at 5.5.

Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2007 Well doing one of those crazy searches gave me this:http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...ic=2646&hl=Out to make me look dumb Mack? ;) Understood considering the many posts without basis or research regarding patterns.I did see that but have no idea what a corebeam is; couldn't imagine that the lowest lie of Warrior would be any higher than a 5 but didn't know if it was ridiculously low. Fedorov is listed as a 4 on the Hockey Monkey site and in the MSH pattern DB. Hence my concern.
DamnLocust 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2007 corebeam was a forum that preceded msh. i wasn't around for that, but seems like there was a lengthy backstory to it.The federovs are listed as 4.5 on here, but it's really close to a 5. Still, Green is a pro pattern and the choice of lies for pros is much more varied. Perhaps you can ask your buddy to compare it to a retail stick he's got? I think that's a great suggestion to have him compare it to a retail. He doesn't have a camera to send me pics, but thank you to the other member who suggested such. <_<Well doing one of those crazy searches gave me this:http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...ic=2646&hl=Out to make me look dumb Mack? ;) Understood considering the many posts without basis or research regarding patterns.I did see that but have no idea what a corebeam is; couldn't imagine that the lowest lie of Warrior would be any higher than a 5 but didn't know if it was ridiculously low. fastmiele 59 Report post Posted June 3, 2007 ask and you shall receive. These blade/curve pictures are from about 2001, I saw the sticks he brought from Anaheim Ducks when he came to the Toronto Maple Leafs (Warrior Dolomites) and its almost exactly the same.http://img95.imageshack.us/my.php?image=greenvr3.jpghttp://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=green2sm2.jpg

Thank you!Your welcome, in case your wondering his 240 flex feels like 100-105 Easton and the lie is 5 Easton IMO. The sticks are pretty long so once if you cut down the sticks a few inches be prepared for a very stiff feeling stick. From the Travis Green Warrior Dolomites I have seen they have Nipple grip. I'm going to say DL and fastmiele are about right on with a guess of a 5 lie. Nice stick, probably too nice for me but I couldn't pass it up at that price! fastmiele 59 Report post Posted June 10, 2007 maybe you can post a couple pictures for other members to look at so it can help others who are interested in purchasing the stick from online stores ?Have fun with your new sticks. From your pictures it looks like it starts curving closer from the heel where mine starts curving from the middle of the blade ? The curve seems more deeper and also the loft on your yours seems more too.http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=greennov1024ou7.jpgIt could be because we both took different positions for taking pictures. However, the style/pattern of the blade face looks pretty much the same. Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2007 I'll be honest, the pictures (may be the shadowing) make the curve look much deeper than it is. I failed photography class.
Andoy 5 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Sorry to grave dig but how is the rocker on the travis green? I just saw the hockey monkey video and it looks like there's quite a bit of rocker at the heel.
fastmiele 59 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1000807mh1.jpgits not that bad. pretty easy for puck handling, so so for shooting.
davis 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2008 Here's a pic of mine, a little closerAnd here it is in comparison with a LidstromGreen vs. P88/LindrosThe rocker of the T. Green is a bit much for me, even though I attempted to adjust to it. Mine doesn't have grip, but it does feel a little stiffer than I had hoped it would. Still a sweet stick, just not for me.
