Justin Verlander of the Tigers pitches a no hitter

And he had some nasty stuff tonight. Breaking ball was absolutly amazing, and he threw a 102mph fastball on his 109th pitch of the night to the 2nd to last batter.

He was simply overpowering tonight.

I agree, and now ESPN is having a massive boner over it, which is annoying. Great job by Verlander, VERY impressive and his stuff tonight was incredible

When they broke the coverage in from the World Series of Poker being shown, this is all I did at work was sit and watch. Its one of those jobs where I hate being there, yet its so great that I can just watch something whenever I want!

Great stuff by Verlander though. To still be throwing that hard, and have that much control in the 9th...I'm certainly glad I wasn't any of those batters. There was no way they were going to get a hit with the nasty stuff he had left.

They still won't make it out of their division.

I must have missed where someone changed the title of this thread to "The Tigers will make the playoffs, either by winning the AL Central or the Wildcard".

I know you're not a Sox fan, because a large majority of them have already given up on the southsiders this year. Which, by process of elimination leaves you to be a Cleveland fan. How are the Cavs doing?

I'm not a baseball fan period. With that said, even I know the Tigers won't make it out of their division.
