Looking for a new bag

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a new bag. It needs to be roomy and durable. I currently have the Shock Doctor with heater bag. It works great, but the bag is showing signs of breakdown. I am going to keep the Shock Doctor at home to dry my gear and I want a new bag to get my stuff back and forth .

Thanks,

Sean

check out the msh bags, if there are any left it seems like a top notch bag, very simple yet durable with INTERNAL skate pockets so you dont have to worry about all the extra zippers blowing out within 10 minutes of use like it seems to happen to all the other bags out there.

I use a CCM 1052 bag, massive, strong, and should be fairly cheap if you can get your hands on one

The 1052 or 1152 is tough to find in a 40" bag. I ended up finding a CCM 1152 in a 36" bag. Hopefully it will be big enough for all of my XL gear.

Thanks folks,

Sean

I had a 852 bag in the same size. It worked great for a while until the zipper gave way. I wear xl gear too.

I just got one of the new Easton pro bags. Best bag I've had hands down. Very roomy inside, and is well-made. It even has about a 1/2 inch cushion built into the bottom so your equipment doesn't take as much impact when I throw my bag down in the locker room.

edit: just read you got one already, good luck!

Only issue I have with it is that I had to put my own shoulder strap on it.

I have a bag that is very similar to the Eagle bag(EWH bag by Fury). I just use the hand straps and throw them over my shoulder.

I saw in another thread about bags that someone recommended the Rbk 5k bag. Has anyone else got this? I havent seen one in person but from the specs and stuff on all the equipment websites they seem like really good value. Anyone got any major pros or cons about it?

RBK 5K bag. Its great. No wheels, easy to carry, and not heavy. Recommend it.

I have one (as seen by 1st quote). I love it. Its big and fits all my equipment with some extra room. It has skate pockets on the side. I have had no problems with it. I got it around last December and have traveled and played tons of games with it (pretty much every weekend until 2nd or 3rd week of March).

I agree on the 5k. I've had mine since I think feb/mar 06 and it's holding up very nicely

My team had Eagle bags last year as our team bags. The things are indestructable, and very well made. I found it to be just a bit too small though. I use pretty much all L - XL gear, and when you combine that with team sets of uniforms, its a pretty crammed in fit. I prefer just a bit more room.
