Need some help finding click tighteners.

Recommended Posts

So, I am making something, and am trying to find somewhere I can purchase dial click tighteners.

If you are not sure what they are, they are used on some puma runners, like the ones here

Any help would be appreciated

ive seen those on a pair of shoes. hadno idea what they were . thought it was those tags that beep the ditectors if you go past them without cuting them off

Out of curiosity, what are you making that needs these?

I will let you know if 1. It doesn't work out or 2. I need some MSHers to do some testing for me.

Just a simple hockey related device, nothing to do with actual skates or laces, I just need a low profile tightener for now

well they come attatched to certain shoes, so you would have to buy the shoe and then take it apart. so your making something a little secretive, eh?

It's not even the exact one on that runner, just a dial tightener.

It's not really a big deal, and will probably seem even sillier if/when I do finish it, but for now, I would prefer to keep it under wraps.

It needs to be low profile, which is why a dial would be best

for some reason this came to my mind, attaching these in some way to shin pads, resulting in no more need for tape and/or straps, if yes then thats a pretty damn good idea

I don't think I'd use it on the cuff of my gloves, I like some freedom in terms of wrist movement. Shin pads would definitely be a possibility, maybe even pants...that would work too.

Does the Rbk 8K helmet have a dial adjuster, or is it the Bauer 8000? I haven't read too much feedback about whether helmet dial adjusters work well or not.

Shinpads and elbows: that would be good. My elbow elastic velcro stretches too much over time.
