Well...I came into some money this weekend, and figured I'd treat myself. So, I went back to the LHS...and they still had those 9k's...and this time I bought them.

AND...they were marked down further...$450.00 all in.

I'm skating tonight. I'll report back afterward.

djinferno needs pics, too.

I impulse buy.

Though, once I find a Warrior stick with the blade I want in a 75 flex...its MINE!

And RBK9's are sweet.

I can't impulse buy anymore, I can when I see something for others but never for myself, i always mull over the prices, I always like the most expensive stuff and I have a hard time treating myself...

Funny thing is I'm always picking up something for my girlfriend, That look of surprise on peoples face when you get them something unexpected is priceless...

I guess that I'm so fussy that I'm scared of buying something and not liking it, that feeling of desapointment when you get a product that you don't like... it's like i feel like i'm flushing money...

Kewl...I've taken part in a pool before...but I've never been the SUBJECT of a pool...*LOL*

Skated in them tonight...and I'm very impressed. Felt great. My Vector's were a stock 9' right out of the box. I was told that these are (let me know if this sounds right) and 11' radius that is 10mm forward?????

Anyways...my first few strides were a bit awkward...but after a few laps...and once we started playing, I don't think I've ever felt more solid/secure on skates as these do.

And, to top it all off...I may have a buyer for my Vector 6.0's.

btw...Is $175 a decent price for skates I paid almost $300 in Nov '06?

I'm happy.

Not really...Vector 6.0s are going $159.99 cdn new around here.

Really? The last few places I looked they were still $259.99 new. I'll double check those places and re-think my price. thanks. I hoped to get enough from those skates to buy a Vector helmet.

I though that an e-pro came with a 10' radius, no idea of the boot pitch on the 9K though.

I thought he told me they were 9'...but, you may be right. Brain like a sieve sometimes.

btw...title edited for accuracy.

I'm looking to make this SAME jump (Vector 6.0 to 9k's). Can you talk a little more about the difference between them? What were some of the issues with your Vectors? Mine just get too sloppy during the games and I can't lock my heel down anymore and still get blood to my feet.

I didn't have any issues with them, and I wasn't in the market to replace them...the deal on these 9k's was just too good to pass.

The pump really locks the heel in place. They are very light. But, they don't feel like they are giving up any protection. Didn't block any shots or anything, but my foot felt very well protected (if that makes sense).

ahhhh... so the 9k's are definitely lighter than the 6.0's? I was worried about that as no one has really mentioned weight as being a big benefit to the 9k's.

Do you feel they stay drier and soak up less sweat with the different liners? I think once my 6.0's got wet the padding compressed and that was causing me to have extra room later during my games.

I don't know that I really noticed a difference in that area. As far as weight goes...I wouldn't say I could feel that they were lighter once I was skating...but to hold them...they feel very light.

Oh, another thing...I had Shock Dr's in my Vector's...I left the Thruster footbeds in these, and they felt great too.

Talked to a guy last night who played with us on Monday. He said he could see a noticeable difference in may skating.

Could be a case of playing well in new gear...we'll see if Thursday goes well too.

You felt had a better heel lock, is there anything else that felt differently?

It's a very stiff boot. At least from what I'm used to.
