I have always hesitated in buying smu equipments. But, are SMU's good as the real skate. I might be looking into smu's

So long as you order from a well rep'd place (for instance, THG) then yes. In fact, they're far better than entry line and tend to have features that usually are found on the top line models for a lower cost. Basically, they tend everything just south of what a pro level player would/could need, so if you're a beer-leaguer this would be the best bang for buck you can get without going overboard and buying more skate than you would need.

Just my take.

I was looking at the new 2007 vapor shift, (smu for source for sports) is this pair of skate any good. I have been getting blisters from every skate I previously had, and hoping to find a skate that fits well.

i read it has the XXXX footbed and a stiffer outsole. I am thinking of getting a pair of this then the vapor XXii for around the same deal. Is this a good for my money??

The Shift seems like a solid skate. Maybe PM dieselbro, he works at a source for sports, and showed me this skate yesterday. It felt pretty light, I couldn't tell the difference in weight between these or the XXXXs.

All of the THG vapor skates that I saw were seriously screwed up. Some were worse than others but I never would have purchased any of them.

I had a pair of last gerneration THG Shifts and the holders were mis-mounted (one was really out). The stitching quality was also quite sloppy (when compared with my Vapor XIX's).

Once the holders were positioned correctly though, they turned out to be a decent pair of skates. Check the mounting configuration thorougly before you buy.

Shifter, I bought my Shifts from Source for Sports. Sorry for any confusion. I was my understanding that SFS was part of/ affiliated with THG in some fashion.
