Lightest Wood Blade?

Recommended Posts

My guess would be the Sher-wood 950 blade.

The pros are ok, much lighter than the retail.

i actually dont find the sherwoods that light, they have more wood on em then the Eastons, they have thin, light blades, i'd pic sherwood for performance though.

I'd say the 530 over the 950 for pure weight, but I've only used the 950 blade and both woody's... Try the Bauer 1000 as well. Basically it's gonna come down to this; the lightest wood blades for each company are not going to differ by a very appreciable amount, except maybe Muskoka's, which I've only felt but htey seemed real heavy. Ge the one with the curve you like, grip it and rip it...

The Bauer 7500 is a short hosel tapered wood blade, and it seemed very light when I picked one up. Good stuff indeed, but I don't know if you're looking for regular blades the TPS X-lite was pretty light too.
