Hey guys, first post.

Hockey Giant has some Endure 2 sticks on sale.

I am just curious what you guys think of the stick or if some one has any experience with it.

Thanks

low end.. Lower end version of Bauer Endure. I have a few teammates that uses them. My opinion is that they are blade heavy and has a poor feel.

Really? The old Bauer Endures were supposed to be decent, and these replacement versions, I thought, were high retail dollar (like over $125)?

They arent replacement versions of the endure. Her in Sweden the Endure 2 has been out since the Original Endure came.. The vapor VIII replaces the Endure.

The retail price on Endure2 in Sweden is $96.. And since we allmost pay twice the US price, the retail price in US should be around $49-$59..

every stick "originally" costs 100 or 200 something dollars. Ive seen easton classic abs sticks listed as 89.99 MSRP. Its a way to lure you in to think your getting a real good deal, however you usually arent, there are a few exceptions every now and then, but usually just a marketing technique.

Granted I haven't used it, but I wouldn't compare it to anything overseas since there's always differences in products between the two places. My guess is these are Endures with spiffed up paint jobs.

How good were the original endures? (Durability wise)

I have two as shafts. One I snapped above the hosel and the other is rocking steady after a season or so of use. They're fairly sturdy but it's all relative to how they're used.

Correct.

The Endure2 was the lower-end version of the Endure, and the VIII replaced it.

Endure 2 definitely the lower end stick. As for durability of the original Endure, I can speak from personal experience that it's a tough stick to break! My Bauer Endure (p106 - great curve, RRP in Australia $499 when it came out) put me in hospital for almost three weeks last month.

Got it caught in the net as I was forechecking, and it speared me in the guts (freakish, I know). It lifted me up, threw me over the corner of the net, and the stick finally broke at the blade once it got past horizontal because of the twist I put on it.

I weighed almost 100kgs at the time!!!

Now, of course, I weigh a fair bit less (85 kgs at last count) because the bloody stick tore a hole in my abdominal wall... followed by a collapsed lung and then a bowel blockage.

Which is all the world's longest way of explaining that if you want durability, go for the original Endure. The one that speared me was over a year old, and barely worn (although I'm not a big 'slapper'.

I just picked up six PM9's from a guy in the US via ebay (for $65 US each) - figure they should last me for the rest of my playing days... which is either 12 years or 12 days. If it's the latter, then I leave my remaining sticks to the next guy who posts...

Dibs for lefty PM9's :D

Well good to hear...I've got a pair of P88 Endures and the blade started to soften a bit one one but hasn't gotten any worse. Kinda thinking about picking up a P91 or something if I find some extra cash. Very tempting when you live 5 minutes from Hockey Giant and they still have a bunch!
