Coreshorts

Coreshorts website

During tryouts this week I had tweaked my groin or pulled it or something and thought i was going to be done for the rest of the tryouts but i was suggested by a teammate to try out coreshorts. I was kind of skeptical at first but the next icetime the next day they really helped me. I'm not really sure how they work lol but I was able to play the whole game unlike the other day where i had to stop halfway through. It was quite amazing how good they were even though they are a bit pricey $110CDN for the PRO version but are well worth it.

I would higly recommend them if you have a groin or some sort of core are injury or have a had a previous history with injuries. They are in most of the LHS in BC but that is because they were invented there. For those americans guys on the board you guys probly don't have them in your LHS's yet but you guys that own stores should look into getting them.

And no I don't work for them :( I'm just passing on some info about a product I found to be great.

An interesting concept. After my second shoulder dislocation I was looking for a shirt that did something similar, but I never found one.

I'm a skeptic by nature, but I figure this sort of thing makes a minimal difference.

I use to be a long distance runner and I tried every off-the-shelf knee supporting product under the sun and nothing helped.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone else had any experiences with coreshorts (specifically the PRO version)? My groin tends to get strained/fatigued relatively easily and I was looking for solutions.

i can't really say anything about the actual product (coreshorts), but for me, a pair of really tight compression shorts do the trick exellent..

To re/prehab groin issues, wide stance squats and sideways skipping up an incline will develop and protect your groin. You look goofy, but you save money and injuries...

Not to mention PROPER stretching before and after workouts/games.

i tweaked my month old groin pull on sunday. missed my game tuesday and decided to pick up a pair of these as i was able to find them locally.

i purchased the pro sized M. i'm about 5'7" and weigh 145 with a 31inch waist and these things are super tight! i will post a review as soon as i'm back skating.

coreshorts are fantastic, defiantly help the groin area, would defiantly recommend but i would recommend avoiding deep squats more so that way you can avoid the hip issues that lead to groin issues. but from a support standpoint for already injured groins, coreshorts are awesome!

I started using a pair recently. They provide excellent support and regular compression shorts don't provide the same level.

For those that are runners or the tri types in the US we have a similar concept product in CW-X(Japanese company) gear. You will find it at shops that cater to runners and triatheletes.

I use the running tights and do feel some minor benifit over my knees for my runs. Your mileage may very

Whats the difference between the "lite" and the "pro"?

Edit: Nevermind i found it.

Q Why are there three versions of CORESHORTS™?

A There are three versions to maximize a spectrum of protection.

The Lite pair is for the recreational athlete who requires some protection and a superior pair of compression shorts. They are primarily for exercise activity for men, women and youth. They are also indicated for jobs that have a lot of bending and lifting. Many Police and Firefighters have found comfort and support to help during work.

The Pro pair is primarily for those serious athletes or activities that require greater protection and support. They are being used in the NHL, NFL NBA and professional soccer. They are also being used by recreational athletes that have had groin or pelvic injuries in the past.

The Rehab pair is primarily for those who have recently suffered a lower abdominal, pelvic, groin or upper thigh injury. They provide maximum support to aid in the recovery process.
