Easton wood stick made by Sher-Wood?

My son just got a wooden Easton Classic Pro orange stick, and its construction looks like a Sher-Wood PMP 5030's (solid middle, strips of veneer on the sides, rounded corners). Is Sher-Wood making Easton's wood sticks now, or is Easton copying the design?

It's a common shaft, just about every company that offers wood sticks has one. They could come from the same supplier, I'm not sure. Some of the guys on here would know.

All wood. There is no fibreglass in the shaft of a 5030. The other word for plies is laminates.

That makes sense, the 7000 is a glass comp.

Thanks for the replies and information. His jr Easton is 10:1:10, and my sr Sher-Wood is 10:3:10 as SRI says. Both are "Made in Canada".
