no they were just acting like it behind the cages thats all. Im sure that one guy wouldnt have sticked lucic twice if he was wearing a visor and playing in the CHL. We all know how that would have turned out.Or maybe its just a coincidence that the players with the cages were doing the most cheap shots.

My point Exactly Tips. Don Cherry's got it right. The full cage has to go. Kids learn bad habits with the lack of fear that these cages bring. Even in our HS program, any and every check is not led by the shoulder, but the hands and forearms, usually starting at the shoulders, but ending up into the face and head. That's not checking, that's head hunting, and I believe, it's all to the blame on the Cage. Just my two cents/soapbox moment :)

Blame the refs who don't send them to the box every time they do it. Lazy refs are causing most of the problems in youth hockey.

i agree... ive seen so many games get out of hand because of a lazy prick refs. Its sad that the outcome of a game gets tinkered with by a ref. doesent happen every game. but it happens more than it should
