I'll go ape-shit if Carr isn't gone at the end of the season. I wouldn't mind seeing the Athletic Department pull a Lou Lamoriello and can his ass before the season is even over...The whole football - no, the whole ATHLETICS - program is in dire need of an overhaul.

I keep turning-on the TV expecting to see a live news feed of an angry army of boosters and students who have taken Schembechler Hall by force.

The way they're going, they're not even going to get into a "Hey, We're Here Because We're *Insert Big-Name School With Mediocre Record* Bowl." Which is probably just as well - those things are almost as embarrassing as losing to Appalachian State.

There is a large part of me that just wants to go to sleep for the next eleven months to escape the pain...but looking at the guys Michigan is losing, I don't think next year will be much better.

They'll lose another two games this year. So overrated going into the year, and Henne's hurt. It'd be hilarious if they lose to ND too.

...I'm physically ill.

So was Dennis Dixon during the game yesterday. Apparently he had the flu and was throwing up before the game and during halftime.

I had a good buddy go to the game. He told me after the game that Michigan fans were actually really nice to him and that somebody even told him "thanks for coming out. Sorry we couldn't put up a better game."

Lack of competition. When I flip to games it seems to be be blowouts rather than anything competitive/close.

There are alot of blowouts and one sided games - see Colt Brennan throwing 6 TD's in one half two weeks ago - But there are alot of games that are pretty good football too. Even Navy gave Rutgers a good game on thursday. I kept flipping between the Marshall and the Wake Forest games this weekend, Both were better then the Bills game I got to watch when I wasn't busy throwing drunks out of the stadium. It prolly helps that I have ESPN game plan tho, and I can skim around and watch any number of games.

I was about to say you must have something that shows other games, because I am at the mercy of whatever ABC/ESPN show for the most part. I'm all right though, NFL is back up and I survived the one week where it's NCAA-only.

How so? He sculpted them a Heisman-contending QB and brought them back to respectability, albeit for a short time. He won't be Tyrone Willingham'd out of there.

but he can't even get a real team around that quarterback.

a real team is all about offense and defense with special teams. not a omfg amazing quarterback.

weis is going to be fired soon, i guarantee that

Just funny how they were anointing him as the next Lombardi two seasons ago.

Willingham got screwed, plain and simple...

How about my Knights...gave Texas quite the scare...

Other than what was technically a defence last year, they were a good team. It may all pan out that he just got lucky but I don't think this year will cost him his job. What will cost him his job is the inevitable sucking of Jimmy Clausen, because he's a Clausen.

Is that before or after the O-line gets him crippled? Didn't the kid go something like 47-3 as a 3 year HS starter though?

Its tough watching this season knowing that it could take 2 years to fix the defense with how bad they are....especially since they are supposed to have been working on that defense for the past two summers.....Weise won't end up getting fired and the team will get better - He's had some of the best rated recruiting classes in the nation. Not to mention hes an Alum. and an idol on campus.

Oh Oregon...

It was heartbreaking. Its one of those games where Oregon lost it more than Cal won it. Don't get me wrong, Cal is amazing and Desean Jackson is the best player I've seen since Reggie. Oregon looked good with the exception of the three turnovers at the end. I'm really interested to see what the rankings are tomorrow. Herbstreit said he had the Ducks at #5 even with the loss. I doubt that happens, but given all the other loses to teams ahead of them to worse teams, they should move up.

I felt bad about the loss till ABC showed a girl in the stands with a really ugly pouty face, where she was about to cry. Then I had to laugh.

I'd have to agree with Herbstreit though, Oregon still looked good after that and better than the SEC games I've seen up to this point. Let's give it up for respectability coming back to the Pac 10.

Ugh. I can't believe those two losses at the beginning of the season are going to haunt Michigan the way they are/might. After the loss to Oregon, part of me was hoping they would go 0-12 so I wouldn't have to look back and say "Oregon and Appalachian fucking State ruined our run at a Natty." Unfortunately, it looks like that there might be a chance that these two losses are going to torture me until the next time Michigan gets a legitimate shot at a title.

There's hope, though - ultimately, OSU looms in the distance...as long as we've got Lloyd the Loser on the sidelines, UM doesn't stand a chance.

LkptTiger, I hate to add to your stress with Michigan this year, but according to recent news, the Wolverines might have to forfeit the Penn St. game.

If not forfeit, there might be sanctions placed on the football program.

Seems like they played a freshman that didn't have the grades to cut it for the Big 10. I'll try and find the article in the Detroit Free Press and link it in this post.

EDIT, Here's the link:
